Kasturi (TV channel)

Kasturi ((カンナダ語:ಕಸ್ತೂರಿ)) is a 24-hours Kannada-language television channel in Karnataka, India. It was launched on 26 September 2007. The channel is owned by Kasturi Media Private Limited which is managed by Anitha Kumaraswamy, wife of the ex-chief minister of Karnataka, H. D. Kumaraswamy. Kasturi TV is available only on cable networks. According to Kumaraswamy he conceived the idea (of starting a TV channel) in 1995, when he was producing films. The channel is an infotainment channel, with 40 percent news content. Kannada director S. Narayan has been made in-charge of the entertainment part of the channel.
